The Hazy Janes

The Hazy Janes are a two-piece blues-rock outfit formed in late-2020, featuring Ellis Best (Vocals & Guitar) and Bron Bury (Drums). The band takes influence from acts such as The Doors, The Dead Weather, and The Black Keys. Drawn together by a love of all things Jack White, the duo initially developed their sound by exchanging voice notes during the height of the UK’s third COVID-19 lockdown. Upon releasing their debut single, ‘Yellow Belly Blues’, the band were quickly championed by the likes of Planet Rock Radio and Amazing Radio, as well as Jorvik Radio, who made the duo’s debut single their track of the week.

In short, think of how the White Stripes might sound if they came from West Yorkshire, drank craft ales and listened to Black Sabbath. The band’s latest single, ‘I Find it Hard’, was released in-late 2021 via Hull-based label Fast and Bulbous, and received airtime from BBC Introducing York and North Yorkshire.

The Hazy Janes are set to release their debut EP, ‘It’s Been a Pleasure’, on April 6 2022 via Fast and Bulbous. The band will also set out on their first UK tour in March and April.
